Top Employer Nurtures Top Employees

I was thrilled and extremely proud to learn that Sanofi’s Laval office has been named one of Montreal’s Top Employers for 2016.

This is the second time in two years that we have received this honour. Added to our inclusion in Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2016, it tells us that there are a lot of things we’re doing right! When you scroll through the reasons for our selection, you’ll find many things that make working at Sanofi a positive experience: bright, open workspaces that encourage collaboration and exchange, opportunities for professional growth, attractive financial incentives and flexible arrangements that help balance work and personal responsibilities.

We think it’s only natural to create a supportive and positive environment where achievements are rewarded and everyone is enabled to deliver their best. After all, people’s health depends on our ability to do our jobs well. Patients and their families look to research-based healthcare companies like Sanofi for safe and effective treatments that will improve their quality of life, keep them healthy and productive, or even extend their lives. Our employees bring the highest standards and commitment to this critical work.

I’m sure that all of this year’s Top Employers, whatever their field of endeavour, share the same quest for excellence. As a result, we expect a lot of our employees. Working for a Top Employer can be compelling, energizing and rewarding. It can also be challenging, fast-paced and, to be honest, even a bit tough sometimes.

What is our responsibility as a Top Employer in this context? For us at Sanofi, it means ensuring that our employees’ skills keep pace with the changing healthcare sector. In the past couple of years, we have ramped up our internal training and professional learning opportunities. We have also made employee wellness our special focus, investing in activities that foster a positive mindset and teach us how to reframe situations so that, instead of seeing obstacles, we see all that is possible.
